Bio

Born and raised in the South of London, Mista Matthews (formerly known as 99dB), started his musical journey when he was just 11 years old, when he discovered a Drum & Bass record collection belonging to his Dad. It was at this moment that Franz knew he wanted to be part of 'The Scene'.

He first became interested in the UK Garage music scene in 2001. In 2002, his Mum and Dad bought his first set of turntables.

By the time he was 13 years old, he was already receiving his first club gigs. He did various warm up sets in clubs hosting major names such as DJ EZ, Matt Jam Lamont, Norris Da Boss and many more. It was after this point when he started getting gigs at various venues abroad including clubs in Spain & Cyprus.
